Given Congressman-elect Michael Grimm's hawkishness towards Muslims, his opposition to the so-called "Ground Zero" mosque, and his vitriol about immigration, it was a bit surprising to get a tip from one of our Bay Ridge political insiders telling us that Grimm actually had a nice ground operation of Arab-Americans. In fact, our tipster said that Zein Rimawi of the Arab Muslim American Federation, "delivered" the vote for Grimm.
Word has it that Rimawi put together a group of four dozen volunteers on Election Day, handing out material.
Apparently, these voters were upset a Rep. Mike McMahon's broken promises. They apparently respected Grimm's "honesty."
Interesting.
Interesting? There are many arab americans who disagree with the placement of the Mosque. Do your homework.

ReplyDelete1. Against Mosque close to Ground Zero does not mean against Muslim people. As far as I know, many Muslims, even including top people firm Saudi Arabia, think they have to build the Mosque not so close
2. Not against immigration. Against the ILLEGAL immigration. The key word is "ILLEGAL".
