Last night, freshman Rep. Mike McMahon was defeated by former Marine and FBI agent Michael Grimm, who ran right-wing campaign that offered little except opposition to President Obama, tax cuts for the rich and anger that the country had been stolen by liberals.
This blog will be published by a group of centrist Brooklynites who will be monitoring votes, press releases, public comments of the new Congressman, with an eye towards exposing what we believe will be a pattern of views and agendas that are not in step with Bay Ridge's historically centrist 13th Congressional District.
